London Olympics Committee's Response to My Email

Hello Alexander,

Thank you for contacting London 2012 about our website.

The information for the athlete biographies is taken from the accreditation data that is provided to us by the National Olympic Committees. We have raised this matter with the Russian Olympic Committee

I hope this provides the information you require. However, if we can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us

Kind regards,

Grace

What I responded!!!!

Hello Grace,

I thank you for taking the time to read my Email. Please understand that although I am sure the Russian Olympic Committee did provide you with this information, the organization of the London Olympics should have double checked the information before posting it on the website. This mistake reflects your website not the Russian Olympic Committee. I have noticed that after I sent the Email the website has been altered although without the necessary changes. I am glad that the RUS in parentheses have been removed, but am insulted that your organization still refused to insert UKR as country of birth for the athletes mentioned previously. This is not only discrimination and racism towards Ukraine, but in fact a second offense of such deliberate racism. Ukraine is a country that deserves its recognition. Please take this Email as a stern warning. I have no trouble writing about such discriminatory acts to the papers such as the New York Post, Washington Post, and your own Sunday Times. If the website is not properly altered I will push with all my power to make sure Ukraine and other ex Soviet countries gain the recognition they deserve whether this is still during the Olympics or after they will have their justice against these blatant racist acts

Thanks for reading,

Alexander Myskiw
